On February 18th, 2021, my son Lucas died by apparent suicide a month before his 17th birthday. (Read about that day here.) I have created this site as a memorial to him - to honor his memory as well as answer questions that people who knew him might have. Through sharing my experiences with his death and the aftermath, it is my hope that those who have lost someone may find comfort in knowing that they are not alone in their grief.

Lucas was one of two students to give a speech at his lower school graduation. He handled it like a pro.
Enter your email address so you can get notified by email every time I add more to the story. (You might have to go to your junk mail box and mark it as not spam the first time.) Signing up gives me feedback that people are reading but it's not necessary. Thanks to all of those who have personally reached out to me to tell me what my writing has meant to you. If you would like to give me feedback but don't have my personal contact information, you can send an email to: lifeafterlucas@gmail.com. Thanks for reading!
